Hi! I’m Dawn, the face behind Custom Canine Care. I started this business with one simple belief: every dog deserves patient, compassionate care in a calm, low-stress environment.
As a Fear Free Certified Professional, I take a gentle, individualized approach to grooming. Whether your dog is a wiggly puppy, a nervous rescue, or a sweet senior, I work at their pace and focus on making the experience as comfortable and positive as possible.
Custom Canine Care is built around one-on-one service and small-town values. I prioritize quality over quantity, giving each pet the time they need instead of rushing appointments, while offering flexible options for busy pet owners.
I’m a member of the Ontario Dog Groomers Association and a graduate of Northern College. I’m always continuing my education to provide safe, reliable care you can trust.

Introducing my 8 year old Great Pyrenees/ lab to the grooming experience stressed me out. But I found Dawn at Custom canine care and I’m not stressed anymore. Bella’s 3rd visit went like clock work. She is such a happier dog now since her coat is free of matting and her coat is clean. I would recommend Dawn to every dog owner that there pet needs to be groomed. Now she is on a grooming schedule to keep her coat matt free and clean. Visiting Dawn keeps Bella happy in turn makes me happy. Thanks again Dawn for another great experience. ♥️

Because of matting issues my Great Pyrenees/lab cross, Dawn did everything possible to save her coat but the best thing to do was a reset. I never thought I’d see this day. She not only is a fantastic groomer, she understands temperament of the dog. Without that knowledge I don’t think Bella would have ever been groomed. If you need a fantastic groomer for your dog I give Dawn at Custom Canine Care 100 stars if I could. Trust me you will never regret bringing your pet to her. Thanks again Dawn.
